Resveratrol is a compound found in certain plants, red wine, Senna, peanuts and berries (blueberries, mulberries, raspberries). They are said to have very good antioxidant properties. The extracts of these compounds in from Chinese and Japanese knotweed plants whereas some get it from red wine or red grapes extract. It is a natural phenol and produced by plants when they are attacked by bacteria, fungi or pathogens; thus at times there is low bio-availibity of resveratrol.
